FAQ

How does the purchase process work?

  • The process is simple, first we locate and purchase the van abroad.
  • The van is then gone over by an experienced mechanic and shipped to the nearest port.
  • The vehicle is then registered and prepared for shipment.
  • Finally, the vehicle is shipped to you with all import documentation and Bill of Sale for your enjoyment!

How do I register my vehicle?

  • Since this vehicle has foreign registration, the process of registration varies between states. As a rule as long as the vehicle is 25+ years old (15 for Canada) it is legal to import into the USA. I would STRONGLY advise to check with your local SOS or DMV office to ensure the vehicle is legal BEFORE purchase.

Where are your vehicles sourced, aren’t these vehicles Russian?

  • All of our vehicles are sourced from the Caucuses, not Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, etc. Given the more temperate climate, easy access to ports, and cheaper prices and more stable political situation this makes it the perfect location to find your dream vehicle.

How about other UAZ products such as the Hunter, Patriot, etc?

  • We can import any UAZ, GAZ, or Lada product desired as long as its older than 25 years old (this is necessary to legally import vehicles into the USA).

Do you offer services to Canada?

  • Yes we do! Fortunately the Canadian import laws are much more lenient than the American ones. We also have contacts located in Canada, so feel free to reach out for more information!

What happens if the vehicle breaks down, who will work on it?

  • Thankfully the UAZ is based off of the Willys Jeep, therefore if a mechanic can work on an old Jeep, they can also work on an UAZ. As far as regular maintenance is concerned there will be an included guide upon purchase (soon to be public on this website).

When will this service be fully operational?

  • Spring of 2024, the first shipment begins in March!

Where do I find parts?

  • Please go to the parts section of the site, parts are shipped straight from abroad in order to save costs.

Are upgrades available for these vans?

  • Unfortunately not, to import a non-conforming vehicle they must be “unmodified”. It would probably be easy to get away with this however its not worth the risk of having your vehicle crushed without getting your money back. However, once formally registered and imported you may perform modifications and upgrades (as long as they are legal within your state or providence).
